Fortunately, there is a plethora of information about healthy diets on the internet and some of it is actually factual. What most people suggest is a balanced diet with a mix of something like the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30% Fruit and Veg<\/li>\n<li>30% Carbohydrates<\/li>\n<li>20% Protein<\/li>\n<li>15% Milk and dairy products<\/li>\n<li>5% Fats and sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Does this sound reasonable to you?<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, if you aren\u2019t particularly keen on what one diet plan offers, you can always switch to another. For example, I couldn\u2019t handle the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/apps\/news\/story.asp?NewsID=52370#.Vk2W33YvfIU\">World Health Organization announcing that bacon is as carcinogenic as smoking<\/a>, so I\u2019ve decided to bury my head in the sand and adopt the Atkins diet!
